Since 1998, a group of residents and representatives from local community groups has steered and managed the development of the local community in line with the main objectives and issues identified within the Strategic Action Plan. The group, which is known as the Broughton Partnership Board, is supported and advised by members from various organisations including Wrexham County Borough Council, North Wales Police and AVOW, the Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham. The Broughton Partnership Board works very closely with the Broughton Strategy team (Strategy Team Page) to develop and fund projects within the community for the benefit of the local residents.

The Broughton Partnership Board’s three key priorities are:

• Lifelong Learning Centre

• Sports and Leisure Facilities

• Community House
